April Blooms - The Underbelly

Our neighbor is having his lawn sprayed right now as I write this.  So many dandelions, so little time . . . for us to share our wealth with our friends.  Mug shots of two villians (not counting clover - which I actually take pity on - a cute thing).  One deep rooted, slow but steadily growing villian, lurking in many strategic locations, the skunk cabbage - has not been photographed yet.

This treacherous thing is Thistle (relation).  They are dug/pulled out with a satisfying "pop" sound - if you can get it all.  Wear your gloves and pack a sharp tool!
Yes, this is mid-April size! What is going on here?

Make a wish! . . .  for a "carefree" lawn.
