Kinzua Dam and the Allegheny Reservoir

July 19th, we began our trip to Warren, PA on the northern edge of the Allegheny National Forest.
We visited the Allegheny National Fish Hatchery, Kinzua Dam and a few of the many hiking trails in the forest around the Allegheny Reservoir.  And Kinzua Beach.  We stayed at Chapman State Park, just south of Warren.  Canoed some, swam a lot and had a very hot but fun week.  Joseph met several new friends at the campground and played all sorts of imaginary games and battles for hours on the playground near our camp.  It was one of the hottest parts of the summer so far, with deerflies and some blackflies once in a while (no mosquitoes though) and yet it was all so beautiful and we met friendly people everywhere we went.

Somehow, I didn't take photos at some key times, such as in camp, meals, beaches, playground, canoeing, and in Warren.  And yet this is alright by me for now.  We'll be back up there!
