I said to Joseph the other day, "after kindergarten, you'll be able to begin the next 12 years of school!" With a pause, he said "There are TWELVE more years?" Ah yes, and a lifetime too.
In all fairness, Joseph was a little confused because the school he knows only goes up to 8th grade.
No tears, though it is a wonderful milestone. They tried to wring tears out, ending with a big circle of sweet kindergarteners singing "This Little Light of Mine". Actually when I say (even think) that title now, my throat tightens and my eyes well. Onward ho! They are ready to go!

Kaiden is a kindergarten graduate as well. I told him that now that he has graduated he can get a job and support the family. He wasn't impressed.
