August Harvest

Wonderful and abundant month (so far) from the garden. Truth be told, the harvesting is not an easy jaunt down manicured rows. This summer the grasses and weeds reached record heights even with a form a weed barrier down. A weed wacker and stomping down the aisles worked fine (for now). There will be much clean-up in the Fall. Harvesting and canning has kept us busy and ready for the tastes of summer come wintertime, or anytime the bright, fresh taste of our garden tomatoes and peppers are needed.

I see gifts of jars of goodness . . .

Enjoy!

  1. Loved the pics and evidence of such hard work! You're going to be so happy in the winter. I keep trying to tell myself that anyway....

  2. Beautiful pictures. We haven't been quite as ambitious as you and Larry. This weekend made raspberry jam from our raspberries. This week, Jim and I will be making Salsa.
